Robert Browning is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Austal USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Australian shipbuilding company Austal Limited. Austal USA is American's largest aluminium shipbuilding company, currently employing over 1,100 employees in Mobile, Alabama.

Prior to joining Austal USA in his current capacity, he served on the Board of Directors of Austal Ltd in Australia for 3 ½ years. Mr Browning was also Chief Executive Officer of Alinta Limited, an Australian-listed owner and operator of AUD$14B worth of energy infrastructure. During Mr Browning's 6 1/2 year tenure at Alinta he oversaw the development and execution of a strategy which led to the growth in market capitalisation of the company from AUD$320M to over $7.2B, delivering to shareholders during that period a greater than 700% return on their investment.

Mr Browning has held a variety of leadership roles for 16 years in the energy infrastructure industry and 16 years with Coca-Cola. Mr Browning holds a BS from San Diego State University, a MBA from the University of Phoenix and a MS in International Business Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Sloan School of Management.
