Rod Jones pioneered a new industry in the early 1990s when he started offering 'pathway' programs for international university students in Australia. Today his company Navitas Ltd offers a range of education services in seven countries, has annual revenue of $550 million and its market value ranks it as one of Western Australia's top ten stock.

Rod Jones in the Managing Director, and Executive Board Member of Navitas Limited, the largest listed entity in the eudcation sector in Australia.

Rod has 30 years experience in educational administration and has held a number of senior administrative positions within the Government and the private educations sectors. His background covers both secondary and university education including being Deputy Director of the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre and the Secondary Education Authority in Western Australia.

Rod has been involved in international education since 1987 and is recognized as one of the leaders in the successful establishment of the sector in Australia.

He is one of the co-founders of Navitas and has been instrumental in the expansion and development of Navitas colleges into most major cities in Australia as well as a number of locations overseas including USA, UK, Canada, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Africa.

In 2007 Rod received a Doctor of Education (honoris causa) awarded by Edith Cowan University in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of the international education sector both in Australia and overseas and in 2008 Rod was the Australian Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Unless specifically stated on the event invitation that the invitation is not transferable, you may send another attendee to take your place at the event if you are unable to attend.

If you are unable to attend, and cannot find someone to take your place, cancellations for individual bookings will be accepted UP TO 72 HOURS PRIOR TO THE EVENT and a full refund will be issued provided that WA Business News has acknowledged notification of your cancellation.

If WA Business News does not receive notification 72 hours prior to the event, there will be NO REFUND for cancellations.

In the instance of a group/table booking, cancellations will be accepted UP TO SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT and a full refund will be issued provided that WA Business News has acknowledged notification of your cancellation.

If WA Business News does not receive notification seven days prior to the event, there will be NO REFUND for cancellations.
