WA Business News

Sponsorships

WA Business News is a specialist publisher, focused on delivering the best editorial coverage on and for WA businesses.

To achieve our goal of delivering the best editorial coverage on and for WA businesses, it’s imperative we focus on our business audience, deliver what they want and keep our costs down.

This means that WA Business News pursues a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. In reality, we don't have a sponsorship budget at all. Every sponsorship opportunity is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If the opportunity meets the guidelines that WA Business News has established for sponsorships, limited contra support may be possible. We certainly like to help where we can.

For initial contact, please forward a proposal to us, outlining the event and/or request. Please try to be as specific as you can, detailing in full what the event and/or request is, and in turn, what will be provided to WA Business News as part of the sponsorship arrangement. Key elements of your proposal should include:
  • What is the concept/event/request?
  • When will the concept/event be taking place? i.e. What are relevant dates?
  • What/who is your target market?
  • What form and level of support are you seeking from WA Business News?
    Please be as specific as possible in terms of volume of advertising being sought and the key dates.
  • What are the benefits that you propose to return to WA Business News?
    Full details of the bundle of benefits that you are suggesting could be provided in return for WA Business News support should be outlined. You should provide details in relation to any proposed radio and television advertising schedule, if the sponsorship is exclusive for print media, along with details of signage, size and placement of logo, hospitality etc. Please keep in mind that we like to pursue opportunities that deliver positive exposure for WA Business News and encourage subscriptions.
Applications are accepted on-line at sponsorships@wabusinessnews.com.au We’ll try our best to respond via return email within 10 working days to your request.

All sponsorship opportunities are assessed on a case-by-case basis, however, to help you in putting together your proposal, some general guidelines are outlined below:
  • What does WA Business News contribute?
    WA Business News does not provide any cash support. All sponsorship opportunities involve contra i.e. Advertising in WA Business News.
  • Community Fundraising
    Fundraising is an integral part of the activities undertaken by many schools, churches, societies, clubs and community organisations. The majority of requests sent to us relate to this type of fundraising. While we would like to be able to help all of you, we obviously cannot (as there would be no seats left for paying guests if we did), and as we find it difficult to justify assisting one without assisting all requests, we’re unable to donate goods or services for fetes, trivia nights, auctions etc. at this time.
  • WA Business News looks favourably on proposals that:
    • include other like-minded companies that fit well together as part of the one concept (i.e. supports the WA Business News brand);
    • would benefit significantly from WA Business News’ involvement rather than it just being a small component of the overall proposal;
    • provides WA Business News with significant and valuable return for assistance;
    • are event or situations that support WA Business News’ brand values of integrity, innovation and competitive spirit; and
    • are just WAY too great to say no to.
So, if you think you have a really great event that WA Business News should be involved in, please e-mail us with your inspiring ideas, being sure to provide as much detail as possible.

Cheers,
