Politics & Policy breakfast with Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson MLA
Spotlight on health
Often referred to as Labor’s ‘next rising star’, Amber-Jade Sanderson was appointed health minister and mental health minister in December 2021. To be charged with a portfolio of such wide-ranging responsibility in only her third term as an MP is a clear indication that Ms Sanderson’s reputation as a capable, talented, and focused member of the government is well deserved.
Her professional background includes time as a media adviser and a trade union official, rising as high as assistant secretary of the powerful United Voice.
Having been elected to parliament in 2013, Ms Sanderson most recently played a pivotal role in delivering WA’s Voluntary Assisted Dying laws.
As health minister, Ms Sanderson is well placed to illuminate current challenges and opportunities in WA’s health system. Join Ms Sanderson for breakfast, where she will shine a spotlight on health, including discussing whether the reputation of ‘a system in crisis’ is reality or perception.
