Air Mauritius has announced it is adding a third weekly flight from Perth to the island nation, starting from April next year.
Perth Airport chief executive Brad Geatches said the addition of another weekly flight to Mauritius was good news for Western Australian travellers.
“Mauritius is a popular travel destination in the leisure market, important for the resources sector’s business links with Africa, and connects travellers to a number of exciting travel destinations across the world including Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe,” Mr Geatches said.
“With Perth Airport being the gateway for Air Mauritius to the rest of Australia, this additional flight will not only provide passengers with further choice but offer significant benefits to the Western Australian economy and tourism.”
The new flights will be operated on Airbus A330 Aircraft, capable of seating 275 passengers.
